DakotaCart is a community marketplace that connects shoppers with independent local vendors across the Dakotas. These terms govern your use of dakotacart.com. By creating an account, placing an order or signing up for messages, you agree to them.

You are responsible for the information you provide, for keeping your password secure, and for activity on your account. You must provide accurate contact and delivery details, and you can update them at any time in your account settings.

Products are sold by independent vendors, with DakotaCart providing the storefront, checkout, and delivery or shipping coordination. Each vendor is responsible for their products, product information and stock. Orders may be fulfilled by USPS overnight shipping or by DakotaCart's same-day local delivery, as shown at checkout.

Payments are processed securely through Stripe. DakotaCart never stores your full card details. Refunds for returned items are issued after the vendor confirms receipt, as described in our returns process.

You can request a return from your order history within the window shown at purchase. Approved returns are refunded to your original payment method once the item is back with the vendor. Shipping responsibility for a return depends on the reason and is shown when your request is decided.

With your separate, optional consent you can sign up for two kinds of text messages from DakotaCart: Marketing Messages (promotions, sales, new product announcements and special offers, roughly 4 to 6 messages a month) and Transactional Messages (order confirmations, shipping updates, delivery notifications and account alerts, frequency depending on your orders). Checking each box is a separate choice, and neither is required as a condition of purchase.

Msg & data rates may apply. Message frequency varies by program. Reply STOP to opt out of any or all messages at any time, HELP for help, or manage your choices any time from your account settings. Consent is recorded with the date it was given, the wording you accepted and where you gave it, and withdrawing it stops future messages in that program.

Vendors operate under a separate agreement covering their subscription, commission and payout terms. Vendor storefronts are activated only after identity review and, where applicable, payment of their subscription.

We may update these terms as the marketplace grows. Material changes are announced on the site, and the date above always reflects the current version.
